Description:
This is an ALICE webbing canteen cover, used by the US Forces since since WW2. This particular one is made of Nylon insted of the older canvas, and is the same type used by US Troops in Vietnam from 1967 onwards.
These were often used as dump pouches or extra magazine pouches, mainly by LRRP or special forces units and MACV-SOG who had access to 30rd M16 Magazines but not the 30rd Magazine Pouches, which only started showing up in the 1970's towards the end of the Vietnam War.
This is used but in good condition, excellent for re-enactors who want kit that has a bit of character.
