Also known as the Stoner 63 or XM22E1, the MK23 is the latest offering from G&P and, as always, they have delivered.
This AEG is made in full metal, giving it a realistic weight, look and feel, at around 4.5Kg it is also about right for a weapon that was not really an assault rifle, but not really an LMG either, so just like its real life counterpart its smack between the two. The AEG is well made and well put together, with satisfying build quality that will please skirmishers or collectors alike. You can also add a dummy bullet belt between the receiver feed and magazine to complete the look.
In terms of performance, this AEG could perform well in a support role if needed, but is light enough and manouverable enough to be used in an assault role as well. With an auto-winding 1200 round high cap box magazine it can lay down enough Airsoft fury to keep your opponents' head's down, but wont leave you feeling like your arms are made of jelly after a day of gaming. It clocks up a decent 360FPS with a .20g BB, which gives it about average accuracy for a rifle of its length.
All in all, if you're looking for something unique that is small enough to be an assault rifle, but carries enough rounds to be (almost) an LMG, then the G&P Mk23 could be just for you.
