The WE M4/M16 Series has always been a rival to the more realistic WA GBB Platform and lacked the open bolt functionality that made WA GBB Rifles that much enticing to those who wanted the full experiance. However, WE's introduction of an open bolt system has brought them level with WA once more.
This M16A3 from WE comes pre-installed with the Open Bolt blowback system which gives it a very solid and loud recoil. Operating from the standard 30rd Open Bolt magazine it delivers quite substantial power too which may pose some challenges to those who wish to use it for skirmishing. However modifications can be done to bring the power to below gaming restrictions.
Externally it is what we've come to expect from WE, quite well made metal parts and fairly solid construction. Sadly this version does not feature any markings however.
